Lincoln Exhibit
I have also started branching into other forms of entertainment outside of theatrical plays. One example of this is my design in the Spring 2021 semester, which is for a convention-style meeting for the car company Lincoln. This project offered a lot of challenges because so many components had to be present that I normally don’t have to think about.

Here you can see an overview of the convention. I’ve split the space into many sections, but the ones I’d like to highlight are the stage area, the entrance, and the bar. These were the design points of my presentation.
For the stage, I wanted to keep it fairly minimal and simple, but I also had to include a ramp so that the cars can get up on stage, and a retaining wall to make sure they stay there.
As for the other design elements, I really wanted to include some of the elements from the Lincoln logo, which includes these really beautiful curving portals. I extended this idea in order to create the entrance, and added strip lights along these ribbed supports to create a tunneling effect.
As for the bar, you can also see those same shapes from the logo present in this design. The bar element was very exciting because it hinges much more on functionality than aesthetics, and If you were to follow the detail drawings I created, you should end up with a beautiful bar that follows the conventional measurements. This project was really challenging and really opened my eyes to a whole other venue for design in entertainment.
