Safety Above All

Working as the Props Master for Extremities ended up being an incredibly difficult process, not only because of the sensitive material covered in this play, but also the fact that nearly every prop onstage is used as a weapon at some point.

So, for this show I spent a lot of time working with the fight choreographer and director to decide on the safest ways to do different bindings and movements. This was my first time trying a refillable spray canister, which we ended up filling with water and using as our "hairspray". Along with that, I really wanted this to seem like a real household, and so the set dressing was very important to that, and ended up taking a lot of my time near the end.
